JSA(Junior State Of America)
JSA: Come and express your opinion on Obamacare at next week’s JSA meeting in the LMC Classroom after school on Tuesday. When it comes to Obamacare, there seems to be no middle ground. Most Republicans tout a plan to fully repeal the ACA and then replace it with a different system that may contain some of the more popular portions of Obamacare. On the other hand, Democratic lawmakers argue that while the law is imperfect, it would be better to address its specific flaws while keeping the majority of the legislation in effect. Since the ACA has become law, it has been credited with a variety of impacts, from rising insurance premiums as a negative, and more Americans covered under insurance as a benefit. Given its issues, should we simply repeal Obamacare and replace it, or would it be better to fix the bill instead? (Meister-Louria 3/21)
